Amar Bhidé is the Lawrence D. Glaubinger Professor of Business at Columbia University. He is a member of the Center on Capitalism and Society and founder and editor of its journal Capitalism and Society.

A leading authority on innovation, entrepreneurship and business strategy, Professor Bhidé is the author of two books on the business and leadership challenges of starting and growing new businesses around new ideas. He is widely published in both academic and mainstream business media

Dr. Melinda Crane presents the news program "Journal" and hosts the talk shows "Quadriga" and "Capital Cities" on Deutsche Welle-TV. She is also Senior Producer of "Global Players", an international discussion show on CNBC. She has moderated a wide variety of podium discussions and conferences for public organisations and private sector clients, and is a frequent guest and commentator on German television and radio. Among her areas of expertise are: transatlantic politics, climate and environment, business and economics (including globalisation and world trade), new media and the internet.

She holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a Ph.D. in political economy from the Fletcher School of Law Diplomacy in Medford, Massachusetts, USA. Her journalistic experience includes work for the "New York Times Magazine", "The Christian Science Monitor", "The Boston Globe" and several quarterlies and public networks in Germany.

George Dragnich is responsible for Social Dialogue, one of the ILO's four "pillars". Under the ILO's unique tripartite structure, his team encourages governments, trade unions, and employers to collectively and creatively address socio-economic issues of common concern. Departments under his leadership include Sectoral Activities (including transportation), Labour Law, Industrial Relations, Labour Administration & Inspection, Better Work, and separate bureaus for Workers and Employers activities.

Mr. Dragnich joined the ILO in January 2009, following a 33-year diplomatic career, during which he was the senior-most labour officer in the US Foreign Service.

Christian Dumas has been Vice President of Sustainable Development and Eco-Efficiency at Airbus since 2008. He was previously Vice President of Air Traffic Management within Airbus, where he also acted as Project Director for the SESAR Definition Phase, and helped to secure a sustainable growth for air traffic. Prior to this, he was Vice President of International Development at EADS Corporate.

Building on his aeronautical engineering background, Christian Dumas has held several commercial and strategy positions within the Aerospatiale Group in the Aircraft Division, ATR and Sogerma. He also worked with "Air Inter" Airline, where he was involved in aircraft and engines acquisitions.

Since February 1996, Nik Gowing has been a main programme anchor for the BBC's 24-hour international TV news and information channel BBC World News, produced by BBC News. The channel's distribution is 278 million in 200 countries with a weekly audience of 78 million.

From September 2006, he has presented the new premium news analysis programme 'World News Today with Nik Gowing' for the fast-growing European peak audience.

He is also a regular moderator of the Sunday news analysis programme 'Dateline London', BBC World Debates and the annual Nobel Minds discussion between Nobel laureates. He has been a guest presenter of 'Europe Direct', 'Hard Talk' and 'Simpson's World'.

Dr. Rüdiger Grube has been Chairman of the Management Board and CET of Deutsche Bahn AG and DB Mobility Logistics AG since May 2009

Before joining Deutsche Bahn AG, Dr. Grube was a member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG, where he was responsible for Corporate Development, and subsequently responsible for all North East Asia activities.

Dr. Grube studied automotive engineering and aircraft constrution at the University for Applied Sciences in Hamburg and graduated as a qualified engineer. He holds a doctorate in industrial science and polytechnology from the Universities of Hamburg and Kassel.

Pat Jacobsen is a corporate director since she stepped down in 2008 as CEO of the Greater Vancouver Transportation Authority (TransLink). She is also a director of New Flyer Industries, North America's largest bus and after market service company, and of Port Metro Vancouver, Canada's largest port.

A graduate of the University of Manitoba, Ms Jacobsen held several senior positions with the Ontario Government, including Deputy Minister of Transportation where she developed the integrated road and transit plan "Let's Move" for the Greater Toronto Area.

Zoltán Kazatsay has been Deputy Director-General, coordinating transport activities at the European Commission since 2004.

He was previously working for the Hungarian Ministry of Transport, Communications and Water Management, where he served in different posts, first dealing with project financing and transport policy issues, cooperating with IFIs (EBRD, EIB, IBRD). He became Deputy State Secretary in 1997, responsible for all transport policy issues and related investments dealing with EU-Hungarian accession negotiations related to the transport sector, and in charge of transport policy issues, including the related aviation policy. He supervised the use of pre-accession funds (PHARE, ISPA) as well as the Cohesion Fund project preparations in the transport sector.

Zoltán Kazatsay graduated as a civil engineer from the Technical University of Budapest.

Janusz Lacny is CEO of JMJ-TRANS and was elected President of the International Road Transport Union (IRU) in 2007. He has chaired the Advisory Committee to the Polish Minister of Transport and then to the Minister of Infrastructure and was elected President of the Polish haulier's Association (ZMPD) in 1999.

Mr. Lacny holds a M.Sc. in Telecommunications and a Ph.D. in Computer Communication Systems.

Joseph K. Lam is President of Systems Business, Canada and International Operations at Delcan Corporation, where he directs a group of professionals on numerous innovative ITS projects around the world.

Mr. Lam has been active in the ITS (Intelligent Transport Systesm) field for 40 years. He spent 11 years in the Metropolitan Toronto Traffic Control Centre, managing the first computerised signal system in the world. He has authored numerous papers aned regularly speaks on this subject. He was the Chairman of ITS Canada (1997-2009) and Vice President of the Transportation Association of Canada (2001-2009).

Mr. Lam graduated from St. Andrews University in Scotland.

Lord Macdonald joined Macquarie in 2004 following five years in the UK Government as Minister for the Cabinet Office (2001-2003), Minister for Transport (1999-2001), and Minister for Business and Industry in Scotland (1998-1999).

Patrick Oliva has been Corporate Vice President in charge of Prospective and Sustainable Development at Michelin since January 2008. He is a chemical engineer with a doctorate in pysical sciences, and a graduate from the Institut d'administration des entreprises.

He joined Michelin in Clermont-Ferrand in 1982, where he was an engineer at the Technology Centre, then became personnel manager at the Greenville Research Centre in the US in 1986. In 1996, he was appointed Corporate Vice President of Communications for the Michelin Group, then acted as Corporate Vice President of Group Projects and Secretary-General of the Executive Council from 2001 to 2007.
