event for all Summit participants. This year, it shall be hosted by Japan, which holds
the 2012 Presidency of the Forum. The venue for the reception will be Leipzig Opera House
(Opera Leipzig) and will be opened by Japanese Minister of Land, Infrastructure,
Transport and Tourism, Mr. Takeshi MAEDA.
International Transport Forum Gala Dinner at the Annual
Summit
The International Transport Forum’s Gala Dinner is an
excellent opportunity to relax and chat with new friends
and contacts for all Summit participants.
Starting with a Cocktail Reception in the Exhibition
Area, the event transitions from an action-packed,
content-rich discussion and debate of global transport
issues of strategic importance to a festive reception
hosted by the Secretary General of the International
Transport Forum.
The purpose of the Gala Dinner is to enable
dialogue between
politicians, policy-makers, industry and experts in a relaxed atmosphere.
In 2012, the Gala Dinner will be held in the spectacular
Glass Hall of the Congress Center Leipzig.
The evening will include a welcome, sumptuous
three-course meal to subtle background music, and a
short entertainment interlude. To complete the night,
guests will be invited to mingle further in the lounge
(indoors and outdoors) and expresso bars while humming
along – or dancing - to a favourite tune or two.
The Gala Dinner is a not-to-be-missed part of the Annual
Summit.
Please note: The Gala Dinner is included in the
registration fee. You may indicate your attendance at
the Gala Dinner during the registration process. Please
also reply to the e-inviation sent out two weeks prior
to the Summit to confirm your attendance.
