New Road Safety Database for Latin America and the Caribbean
|
The development of effective, evidence-based road
safety policies is at the heart of an initiative unveiled by the Forum, the
World Bank, the Ministries of Interior of Spain and Argentina, and the
Ministry of Health of Mexico in Bogotá, Colombia on 13 June. A new database
will extend the Forum's IRTAD database for the region with data being fed
by road safety agencies in South and Central America and the Caribbean and
will progressively improve the collection and analysis of data in the
region. Pictured with signatories is the International Transport Forum's
Head of Research, Stephen Perkins (right).
