| Green Growth in Transportation |
| Joint OECD ITF/KOTI Seminar 25 November 2010, OECD Conference Centre, Paris |
| This seminar addressed the issue of green growth in transport
from broader perspectives. Green growth requires not only identifying cleaner sources of growth
but also establishing proper framework or incentive structure for fostering new green industries
while minimizing undesirable social costs. Technological options and their potential to contribute
to green growth were discussed. Perspectives on the role of the transport related industries as
well as the government were also explored. The output of this seminar was channelled into the next 2011 Leipzig Forum whose main theme was 'Transport for Society' as an input. |
